The Supply Chain Analyst training period combines a series of opportunities to work with various departments and other related training events over a twelve month interval with the purpose of preparing the individual to move forward into a career within the Operation’s Department at Bunzl’s corporate office in St. Louis, MO.

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for a variety of internal initiatives as well as trading partner-related projects that involve large volumes of data. Data may be retrieved from multiple, unrelated sources with imperfect information. Additionally, this position will use and leverage a variety of software and modeling tools designed to optimize distribution networks, freight lanes or warehouse flow.


  • Work with multiple departments to develop a thorough understanding of key concepts associated with the department\u0027s functions and its interaction with the other business components 
  • Support one of more projects or division analyses that drive expected results throughout the supply chain
  • Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy with data retrieval, manipulation and calculation
  • Ability to interpret data into compelling insights and present to a variety of levels of leadership
  • Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Accommodate analysis requests from multiple, unrelated projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Should have analysis experience in one or more of the following: Freight, network engineering, warehouse flow
  • Create models that support repetitive analysis based on a variety of segmented business needs
  • Develop dashboards and scorecards that drive enterprise results
  • Coordinate and manage consultants and vendors to deliver expected results
  • Evaluate suppliers and software tools for selection and application
  • Possess a strong position for data accuracy


  • Must be a recent graduate, or preparing to graduate in the next 6 months
  • Bachelor’s degree in either a business related field or a supply chain/quantitative business analysis-related major is preferred
  • Operational supply chain analysis experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products—Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint and Tableau
  • Basic knowledge of financial statements and trial balance information
  • Working knowledge of visualization software is a plus
  • Periodic multi-night travel is required
  • Experience with supply RFP evaluations is preferred
