Job Description

The Sales Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Sales team. This person should have a positive attitude and be an independent self-starter that can work effectively in a fast-paced sales office environment.

 Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding order status, product availability and prepare price quotes
  • Coordinate with customer transportation team to discuss delivery availability and load requirements
  • Communicate with internal departments to set up new item requests, overstock items maintenance
  • Maintain local and national customer price files and multi-tiered trade discounts
  • Research and reconciles trade discount and third party rebate programs
  • Prepare marketing flyers
  • Prepare weekly sales reports

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor\u0027s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years administrative sales analysis experience preferred
  • Must possess strong planning, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong problem solving skills
  • Must possess executive level communication skills
  • A proven ability to organize, prioritize, and successfully manage multiple and shifting priorities, projects, and deadlines
  • Proven self-starter with strong work ethic, self-motivated, resourceful, conscientious, punctual and energetic
  • Must be a team-player, and have the ability to be flexible and be able to adapt well under stress or pressure with minimal direct supervision
  • A professional phone manner and ability to interact professionally with staff and high-profile external clients
  • PC proficiency including Word and advanced Excel experience
