Job Description

The Business Associate Development Program combines a series of rotations over a six to twelve month interval in various departments and other related training events over a twelve to eighteen month interval with the purpose of preparing the individual for what area best matches the company needs and his or her interests, skills and abilities.  Upon completion of the program, the Business Associate will be eligible to apply for a position in Sales or Purchasing.

Responsibilities:

  • Train within each department at the branch level to develop a thorough understanding of key concepts associated with the department’s functions and its interaction with the other business components.
  • Utilize outbound telephone calls to increase sales and promote product promotions with key existing and new accounts.
  • Answer inbound customer calls and use our AS400 system to enter orders, update and maintain customer master, seek packaging profile information, and complete packaging leads to field sales
  • Participate in product training sessions with the goal to become proficient in several key product categories while developing and maintaining resource files.
  • Utilize website for customer communication and orders via our online chat system
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer care to build relationships and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues with products, invoicing, and/or deliveries
  • Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to customer care

Requirements:

  • Bachelor\u0027s Degree preferred
  • Outbound Telephone sales experience is a plus
  • Minimum of two years in sales, service, or distribution environment preferred
  • Must be able to adapt to all types of situations in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work on multiple projects, be able to assume additional responsibilities and manage special projects
  • Strong negotiation skills, analytical skills, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of customers, employees, managers, and outside parties
  • Requires intermediate PC proficiency including Microsoft Office products. Experience with IBM I-Series (AS400) operation system is a plus
  • Bi-lingual English and Spanish is a plus
