The Bindary/Sheeter worker will assist the Sheeter operator by performing in-line packaging and palletizing of finished products. This person will be trained as a backup operator.
Responsibilities:
  • Pack, label, and palletize materials sheeted and converted in the bindery department
  • Record production data on Production ticket; RM weights, lot codes, case counts, etc.
  • Assist in general repair & maintenance of equipment and work area; assist other areas as needed
  • Load paper rolls on sheeter
  • Change cutting knives and dies on sheeting and bindery equipment
  • Operate guillotine cutter, die cutter, and shrink wrap machines
  • Overtime will be required; sometimes on short notice and is mandatory when needed. This may include extended hours per shift or additional production time on the weekends

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one years’ experience in a manufacturing or converting environment
  • Ability to take and follow directions from press operator and shift supervisor
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Additional training will be provided
  • Fill and lift cartons up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations
  • This position requires more than 6 hours of standing on feet and some repetitive lifting / stacking in excess of 50 lbs.
