BUNZL IS KEEPING BUSINESSES MOVING
The primary role of the supervisor is to oversee all daily activities in the warehouse and be able to work where needed in order to complete the demands of the day. The supervisor must have the ability to supervise a crew doing multiple areas of the warehouse. The supervisor must be present in order to administer appropriate disciplinary actions in a prompt and fair manner according to company policy. The supervisor must be able to enforce the company policies and procedures set by management and carry ones self professionally at all times.
Responsibilities:
  • Coach and assign workload to individual warehouse associates
  • Verify all shipments
  • Communicate with drivers
  • Maintain system locations
  • Participate in physical inventories
  • Keep accurate attendance records and maintain a productive work environment
  • Analyze and run reports to promote production
  • Other duties as required and as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years warehouse experience
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Basic computer/datat entry skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and react quickly in emergency situations
  • Ability to drive a forklift when needed
  • Ability to supervise staff and delegate tasks
  • Good reading (English) and math skills
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish skills are a plus
  • Must be able to work up to 12 hours a day, standing for up to 8 hours a day on concrete
  • Must be able to work in temperatures that could be in excess of 110 degrees in the summer and as low as 40 degrees in the winter
  • Ability to push, pull and pick up cartons weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the day
  • Must be able to climb a flight of stairs multiple times throughout the day
