Responsibilities:
  • Pricing for a profitable win
  • Understand discounting and analyze effectiveness of the discounts
  • Review market trends for pricing opportunities to optimize revenues
  • Analyze price relationships between products and customer segments
  • Partner with merchandising team to create productive pricing promotions
  • Provide salespeople pricing recommendations and approval within set guidelines
  • Monitor, protect and improve gross margin
  • Audit selling margins and resolve issues quickly
  • Timely implementation of manufacturer cost changes and adjustments
  • Understand the methods and logic behind cost change processes
  • Collaborate with management to implement new pricing initiatives
  • Recommend new revenue drivers and ways to avoid gross margin erosion
  • Create metrics to identify opportunities, evaluate the success of initiatives, and track continuous improvement
  • Responsible for tracking & reporting vendor pricing rebates & deviations
  • Provide Internal & External Customer Service
  • Produce pricing and profitability tools
  • Save/update special customer pricing
  • Ensure pricing data maintenance and integrity
  • Run sales reports and price files as necessary
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Microsoft Office expertise, especially in Excel
  • Excellent communicator – speaks and writes clearly and concisely
  • Analytical and organized with relentless attention to detail
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and affinity for numbers
  • Understanding of pricing mechanisms including profitability
  • Resourceful, looks for solution rather than allowing obstacles to impede progress
  • Ability and willingness to work independently
  • 1-2 years’ experience in pricing preferred
