BUNZL IS KEEPING BUSINESSES MOVING
The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and managing content distribution to online channels, including social media networks, website and blog, emails, and online community outlets that are optimized for SEM. This role will be counted on to monitor and increase online traffic for the purpose of lead generation, SEO, as well as product and brand awareness for Bunzl Processor Division.  The position will shape ideas based on user and business insight, resulting in business content strategies.
Responsibilities:
Key functions of this role include:
CONTENT MARKETING
  • Develop highly engaging, relevant content to assist with search engine optimization, using tags, keywords, keyword phrases, and meta descriptions.
  • Assure content adheres to brand guidelines, has continuous tone and voice, for an exceptional user experience— ensuring that all content is findable, easy to understand, and shareable for our users. Content will then be distributed via:
    • Website blog
    • Email blasts
    • Social media
  • Identify successful content and map out new ways to repurpose. Identify low-performing content and optimize for better performance.
  • Position Bunzl Processor Division as a trusted food processing industry expert.
  • Build and manage the editorial/content calendar. Define standards for maximizing content success on all channels, including website, blog, social media, email and other communication channels.
  • Acquire new leads by converting digital traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and by working with others to optimize the user experience.
EMAIL MARKETING
  • Develop effective email marketing campaigns, monitor and track results
  • Educate customers about our products and services
  • Collaborate with internal teams for content and call-to-action messages
  • Maintain current email contact lists and segments
  • Innovate on subject line and content through A/B testing to drive engagement
  • Communicate email and/or social media online sale offers with sales teams
  • Engage consumers on all key social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blogs & other platforms as required, for the purpose of increasing website sales and SEO
  • Identify, interpret and execute social media trends based on analytics and research
  • Develop and maintain presence and support in online industry-related forum/groups
  • Monitor online reputation, including social mentions and interactions on company social profiles, groups and overall online community
  • Monitor web, social, and online community analytics to understand trends and improve engagement with target audience
  • Maintain overall brand standards, design and voice within all social channels
  • Coordinate customer interaction with sales teams as necessary
  • Research and monitor competitors/customers online
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING
  • Engage consumers on all key social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, blogs & other platforms as required, for the purpose of increasing website sales and SEO.
  • Identify, interpret and execute social media trends based on analytics and research.
  • Develop and maintain presence and support in online industry-related forum/groups.
  • Monitor online reputation, including social mentions and interactions on company social profiles, groups and overall online community.
  • Monitor web, social, and online community analytics to understand trends and improve engagement with target audience
  • Maintain overall brand standards, design and voice within all social channels.
  • Coordinate customer interaction with sales teams as necessary.
  • Research and monitor competitors/customers online.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, New Media, Internet Marketing or Communications
  • 2-5 years’ experience with online community building, and social media marketing
  • 2-5 years’ experience with Email Marketing
  • Proficient with social media management tools (such as Hootsuite or Sprout Social)
  • Proficiency with email marketing tools (such as SendGrid, Constant Contact, etc)
  • Working knowledge HTML and CSS.
  • Excellent grasp of the English language and grammar rules.
  • Effective writing style that is fresh, consistent and customer friendly.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Experience with photo resizing and saving for web.
  • Creative approach to content strategy and development.
  • Familiarity with SEO/SEM and Google Analytics.
  • Self-motivated, creative and resourceful.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience with B2B marketing
  • Graphic design concepts/skills
  • Experience working in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Team player with confident, passionate and enthusiastic attitude
