Responsibilities:
  • Respond to requests for assistance, via phone or electronically
  • Diagnose and resolve payment issues using available information and resources
  • Advise customers on appropriate action by following standard help desk procedures
  • Maintain log of all help desk interactions to include issues and resolutions
  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention to the Help Desk Supervisor
  • Prepare spreadsheets detailing activity on an account
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates
  • Post all customer payment batches from the bank lock box with 100% accuracy
  • Assist in implementing and converting customer accounts to the auto cash posting program
  • Work directly with supervisor to ensure all deficient areas of the system are addressed in a timely manner
  • Report all issues to supervisor for support
  • Ensure the cash batches are posting correctly
  • Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, and managers
  • Work directly with the supervisor to formulate ideas on ways to improve processing for the AR team

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of one year of accounts payable or related accounting experience preferred
  • A minimum of one year experience in a help desk environment a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounts receivable with primary background in cash posting and dispute resolution
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and AP processes a plus
  • Must have an excellent eye for detail; must have the ability to spot issues quickly and be able to resolve in a timely manner
  • Excellent communication and time management skills; must be able to multitask
  • Able to problem solve and handle a variety of issues
  • Must be self motivated and able to follow direction and able to work independently or as a team
  • Proficient with MS Office software and knowledge of an A/P imaging system preferred
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and 10 keypunch
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task projects, establish priorities, work independently and organize effectively
  • Must be detail orientated and be able to work under pressure
  • The ability to speak, read, and write both English and Spanish fluently will be required
